Father's Day Popcorn Party

I decided to do a popcorn theme for my fabulous hubby for Father's Day this year for two reasons. First he LOVES popcorn and Second we have a bit of a popcorn history. A couple of years ago we decided we weren't going to get each other anything for Christmas because we were broke. I couldn't get him NOTHING, so he said he would really love a popcorn tin. So being the wonderful wife that I am {LOL} I got him a popcorn tin. I told him to get me some little craft item, but instead he bought me a CAMERA!!! Of course I felt terrible, and he still jokes about how all I got him was a popcorn tin! {Naturally he gets a popcorn tin every year now! LOL} So Father's Day I thought I would step it up a notch.
I went to our local popcorn store, Vic's Corn Popper, and picked out a few specialty flavors, dusted off our popcorn machine and popped some fresh plain popcorn then I made a couple of flavored butters and some seasonings to sprinkle on top so everyone could create their own flavors.

I made homemade popcorn balls

I had plain melted butter, habenero butter and garlic butter

The seasonings

I ordered these fabulous popcorn bags from Hey Yo Yo

I love the way it all came together. The colors were bright and cheery,  it smelled fabulous and everyone enjoyed creating their mixtures and trying the different seasonings and butters. But best of all my hubby loved it! And, after all, it was all about thanking him for being a Great Pop!!
